AVI20325 Certificate II in Transport Security Protection

This qualification provides individuals with general and specialist skills to operate effectively in a broad range of transport security screening roles. Transport Security Screening Officer roles in the following Groups.

Entry Requirements

Individuals undertaking this qualification must have passed a valid background check first prior to accessing security-restricted resources associated with AVIG0001 Work effectively in a transport security environment. A valid background check for the purposes of an individual undertaking this qualification is a background check on an applicant for, or the holder of an aviation security identification card or maritime security identification card. Course Fees

AIR CARGO EXAMINATION OFFICER

Candidates wanting to work as an Air Cargo Examination Officer, the course will cost $900.00, duration 6 days.

AIRPORT SCREENING and MARITIME SCREENING

Candidates wanting to work as an:

• Airport Screening Officer and Maritime Screening Officer the course will cost $1500.00, with a duration 10 days.

• A minimum payment of $500.00 is required prior to course commencement for administration and enrolment fee.

• All cancellation requests made prior to the course commencement date will incur a $150.00 administration and enrolment fee. Once courses have commenced, the organisation will not approve refunds or transfers under any circumstances.

Assessment and Duration

Students will be required to be assessed in this program to demonstrate they have achieved the skills and knowledge set out in the competency standards/ modules.

Assessments include open book questions, workplace projects and practical observation/demonstration on Cabin X-ray Machine, ETD, HHMD, WTMD and QPS (Quick Personnel Security) Body Scanner.

For Air Cargo Examination Officer training, the Course Duration is 6 days, face-to-face delivery, Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.


For Airport and Maritime Screener training, Course Duration is 13 days, face to face delivery, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
